Pertex® Syncro launches for Fall 2010 exclusively with RAB, The North Face

prtex® (http://www.pertex.com) introduces the latest innovation in fabric technology, Pertex® Syncro, at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, January, 2010, Booth #39117. Pertex® Syncro is available exclusively at RAB and The North Face.

Pertex Syncro is created gossamer light, with a balance of strength and weight that allows insulation maximum loft and ensures optimum warmth even in ultra lightweight apparel. As a result, weight is dramatically reduced without compromise in strength.

“We’re so pleased to introduce Pertex Syncro to the Winter Market,” said, Steve Laycock, Brand Director, Pertex. “Especially in partnership with such impressive outdoor apparel companies like RAB and The North Face, they’ve taken Pertex Syncro and created the highest quality outdoor gear imaginable,” he said.

Pertex Syncro is 20 percent lighter and provides a much smaller packed volume when compared to Pertex® Quantum, the ‘benchmark’ lightweight shell fabric. Like all Pertex fabrics, Pertex Syncro is wind, rain and snow repellent. Many features of Pertex (lightweight, softness, fast drying) are of benefit to down and synthetic insulated equipment and apparel. The innovative capillary action technology is what the Pertex range of fabrics are known for, it is this technology that keeps the active athlete comfortable when the going gets tough. The fabrics are wind proof, increasing warmth and thermal efficiency of sleeping bags. The controlled airflow technology found in Pertex plays an important role in evaporating excessive moisture build-up from the inside of jackets.
